# Welcome to Palagus

## Understand how your brand appears in AI-generated answers

Palagus helps you monitor how AI platforms perceive, mention, and recommend your brand. Track the questions your potential customers ask, compare your visibility with competitors, and understand which brands and sources influence AI-generated answers.

With Palagus, you can move beyond individual AI responses and identify patterns across prompts, personas, topics, competitors, and AI platforms.

## What you can do with Palagus

### Monitor your AI visibility

See how frequently your brand appears in relevant AI-generated answers and how your visibility changes over time.

### Compare your brand with competitors

Understand which competitors are mentioned, how prominently they appear, and where they outperform your brand.

### Track real customer questions

Create prompts that reflect the questions people might ask during research, comparison, and decision-making. Instead of tracking isolated keywords, Palagus helps you monitor complete questions with real intent and context.

### Analyze different personas

Organize prompts around the people who influence buying decisions.

A technical decision-maker may ask different questions and receive different recommendations than a managing director, procurement manager, or end user. Personas help you understand these differences. A prompt can belong to only one specific persona.

### Organize prompts with topics

Assign prompts to relevant topics such as product categories, use cases, capabilities, or customer problems. A prompt can belong to multiple topics, allowing you to analyze overlapping areas without duplicating it.

### Understand why brands appear

Review the AI-generated answers behind your metrics and identify the sources, content, and associations that influence brand visibility.

## How Palagus works

Palagus follows a simple workflow:

1. **Create a project**
Add the brand you want to monitor.
2. **Add competitors**
Define the companies you want to compare against.
3. **Create personas**
Describe the audiences and decision-makers whose perspective you want to understand.
4. **Create topics**
Organize your monitoring around relevant products, use cases, problems, or market categories.
5. **Add prompts**
Capture realistic questions your personas might ask an AI platform.
6. **Collect AI responses**
Palagus runs your prompts across the supported AI platforms and records the generated answers.
7. **Analyze your performance**
Explore brand mentions, competitors, positions, sentiment, sources, and differences between personas and topics.
8. **Identify opportunities**
Use the results to improve your content, positioning, authority, and presence across influential sources.

## Personas, topics, and prompts

Palagus uses three core elements to structure your monitoring.

### Personas

A persona represents the perspective from which a question is asked.

Examples:

* Managing director
* Procurement manager
* Marketing lead
* Technical decision-maker
* Small-business owner

Each prompt belongs to one persona. This helps you compare how AI recommendations differ between audiences.

### Topics

Topics describe what a prompt is about.

Examples:

* AI visibility monitoring
* Competitor analysis
* Brand perception
* Content optimization
* Reporting

A prompt can belong to multiple topics because one customer question may cover several related areas.

### Prompts

Prompts are the questions Palagus monitors across AI platforms.

For example:

> *Which AI visibility platform is best for a B2B marketing team that wants to compare its brand with competitors?*

This prompt could be assigned to:

* **Persona:** B2B marketing lead
* **Topics:** AI visibility, competitor analysis, brand monitoring

This structure allows you to analyze both the audience behind a question and the subjects addressed by it.
